Welcome

Hello! My name is Christy. I'm a Ph.D. student in Interactive Art and Technology at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. I graduated with a First Class Honours in Cognitive Science from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where I focused on the science of vision, perception and cognition, and psychology of art and design.

My work focuses on Empirical Aesthetics, Timeless Design, Design Cognition and User Research.

Empirical aesthetics

I study visuospatial

perception and cognition of art appreciation based on neuropsychological methods and behavioural experiment.

I focus on the embodiment aspect in studying spatial and interactive art and design, i.e. HMI designs, installation art and architectures.

Conducting user studies, collaborating with designers to evaluate HCI, HAI, HMI user experience, investigating the potential of AI-assisted design and generative art.
